Beth's Birthday

Mom turned a year older today and the whole family got together to celebrate. Of course, the whole family really got together to see Amelia, but at least there was cake!

The Family From Far Far Away

My family from CT made it down to visit Amelia this weekend. This was Dad and Steve's first trip and Mom and Julie's second. We all had a blast hanging out with Amelia. Sorry to cut the post short, but I've got to go retrieve the plunger Steve left on the back deck!

Bath Time

Amelia had fun getting a bath from Grandma Rustici. Here are some cute shots.

First Bottle

We gave Amelia her first bottle this morning and she took right to it. She fully comprehended the whole alternative nipple thing, but she did look quite confused when she looked up and saw my ugly mug staring back at her instead of Beth's.

Movin' On Up

We had an unofficial weigh-in at Dr Terri's office today. 10 lbs 5 oz, 22 in long and 37 cm around her head. That puts her in the 75th percentile for height and weight and the 50th percentile for head size...maybe now all those hats will finally start to fit!

Introduction of the Paci

Half the world is now going to think we're bad parents and the other half is going to think we just saved ourselves a lot of trouble. Today, we substituted my little finger in Amelia's mouth for a pacifier. Now, I don't know what all the parenting books think about that, but I do know that my finger has already started to look a lot less like a prune.

Loving my rabbit

Amelia made a new friend today. The rabbit has been hanging out with her on the baby papasian for weeks now, but they're just now getting to know one another.

Me stress? Never.

I've never been one to stress very much. School never really got to me; even running a business has been a breeze. But, only 4 weeks after Amelia arrived I discovered my first grey hair. This little one has way too much power over me! Sigh.

Pure Cuteness

Nothing special going on here, just pure cuteness!
